AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) courses

AAT is the UK’s leading professional body offering skills-based accountancy and finance qualifications. Their qualifications are practical, internationally recognised and can open doors in any industry across the world. AAT is open to everyone – you don’t need previous qualifications or experience, and you can work at a pace that fits in with your lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for your first job in accountancy, want to change careers, or simply want to enhance your existing accounting skills, AAT will give you the training you need. AAT also offers an excellent route into chartered accountancy. If you choose to further your studies with one of the leading chartered professional bodies, such as ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA, your AAT qualification will give you generous exemptions. Your AAT qualification could also give you the opportunity to run your own practice. We are offering the following courses, all starting in January 2024: Level 1 AAT Business Skills: This Level 1 qualification covers a range of skills and relevant supporting knowledge to help prepare students for applying numbers in business and working in a business environment. It will give students an understanding of: how different organisations operate. Level 1 Bookkeeping: An introduction to the principles of double-entry bookkeeping, assets, profit and loss identification and other elements of a bookkeeper role. AAT Access is a short qualification that introduces you to fundamental business and finance skills. Level 2 Bookkeeping: The purpose of the Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping is to ensure that learners have the solid bookkeeping skills necessary for most finance roles. This qualification comprises two mandatory units (115 guided learning hours in total): Introduction to Bookkeeping • Principles of Bookkeeping Controls.
