Sustainable Garment Construction: Beginners

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">This intermediate course builds directly on the skills gained in the Beginner Sustainable Garment Construction course and is suitable for learners who already have basic sewing and garment construction experience. Learners will expand their technical abilities while developing a deeper understanding of sustainable fashion practices and responsible garment production. Learners will also explore sustainable design approaches such as garment adaptation, visible mending, fabric repurposing, and designing to minimise waste. Learners will draft a tailored trouser or a fitted bodice pattern using their own body measurements. Learners will then cut pattern from fabric to construct a wearable tailored trouser or fitted bodice to a high standard. Learners will also be taught how to construct a fly-front zipper and various options for pockets  while building the confidence and technical understanding required to progress onto the Advanced Sustainable Garment Construction course.</span></span></p>
