The focus of this course will be to show you how the downshift challenge could save you money as you swap branded items for supermarket own brand items. You will look at how to use a ‘best value’ approach to your weekly shop and how to work out if what you are buying is actually a bargain.

<p>This course is part of our Maths Multiply project, designed to help you manage the cost-of-living crisis and grow your confidence in using your number skills.  </p>

<p>It is designed to support you with understanding how to avoid getting into debt and how to protect your health and wellbeing if you do get into debt.   </p>

<p>If the cost-of-living crisis is something that you are concerned about, or you are looking for ways to reduce your potential of getting into debt or you want to understand the relationship between unmanageable debt and health, then this two-hour class is a great start.  </p>

<p>If you decide to enrol on the Debt and Protecting your Health course, you will have more opportunities to engage in other Multiply courses or progress onto a Maths course to develop your skills further. </p>

Course requirements

<p>There are no qualifications required to join this taster course, you just need to complete an application form online using the website at the bottom of the page. This course is ideal if you are in employment or actively seeking employment. </p>
