Certificate in Understanding Autism Level 2

<p>This course is designed to develop your understanding of autism and how it can affect individuals in different ways. It explores the characteristics of autism, the challenges individuals may face, and how to provide effective support. </p>

<p> It is ideal for individuals working in, or interested in working in, education, health and social care, or support roles, as well as parents or carers who want to increase their knowledge and confidence. </p>

<p> The course is delivered distance learning, allowing you to study at your own pace around your personal and work commitments. </p>

<p>The course covers key topics such as: </p>

<ul>
<li>Understanding autism and how it affects individuals </li>
<li>The spectrum of autism and associated conditions </li>
<li>Communication and social interaction differences </li>
<li>Sensory processing and behaviour </li>
<li>Supporting individuals with autism in different settings </li>
<li>The importance of person-centred approaches </li>
</ul>

<p>To enrol on this course, you should: </p>

<ul>
<li>Be aged 19 or over </li>
<li>Have a basic level of English (Entry Level 3 or above recommended) </li>
<li>Be able to complete written assignments </li>
<li>Be willing to study independently and meet deadlines </li>
<li>No previous qualifications are required</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>This is a distance learning course, so you can study from home.  </li>
<li>Support is provided remotely by the course team. </li>
</ul>

<p>You will be given your own start and end date for the course and will be expected to study each week in order to complete the learning and assessments by the end date.</p>

<p>There are no exams </p>

<p>Assessment is based on a portfolio of written assignments, including:  </p>

<li>Short answer questions </li>
<li>Knowledge-based tasks </li>
<li>Case study responses </li>
</ul>

<p>Your tutor will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the course. </p>

<p>TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF)  </p>

<p>After completing this course, you may: </p>

<li>Apply for roles in care, support, or educational settings </li>
<li>Enhance your current role supporting individuals with autism </li>
