<li>Functional Skills English Level 2 is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help adults develop practical reading, writing, speaking and listening skills needed for work, study and everyday life.</li>
<li>Pearson (Edexcel) Functional Skills qualifications focus on real-world communication tasks and practical English rather than literary analysis.</li>
<li>Level 2 is considered equivalent to GCSE Grade 4/C, making it accepted by apprenticeship standards, employers, FE colleges and many universities.</li>
<li>Suitable for adults who want to improve workplace communication, progress to further training or access careers requiring strong literacy skills</li>
</ul>

Course requirements

<ul>
<li>Learners must be aged 19 or over.</li>
<li>Entry Level 3 or Level 1 English (or equivalent) recommended, but not essential.</li>
<li>Initial assessment will help identify individual starting points and support needs.</li>
<li>A short initial assessment to determine the appropriate level of study.</li>
</ul>

<li>Tutor feedback focusing on SPaG, sentence structure and clarity.</li>
