What the course is about

<p><strong>During this session you will be phoned to :</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Discuss your current skills and ability levels in your required subject</li>
<li>Have a discussion to identify your learning goals and identify any learning needs or preferences you have</li>
<li>Be given support with choosing the right course for you</li>
<li>Understand what the course is about and answer any questions you may have about your learning</li>
</ul>

Pre-course information session or interview

<ul>
<li>You will need to submit an application form online</li>
<li>You will receive confirmation that we have received your application</li>
<li>You will then be sent an Email asking you to complete a BKSB assessment to assess what level you are working at and what key areas you might need to work on</li>
</ul>

Assessment of progress, tests, exams

<p>Current ability levels will be checked and you will be told the level you are working at along with some information about your learning gaps. This will help us to identify the correct level and type of course for you to enrol on.</p>

<p>This <strong>Admission session</strong> is for <strong>new learners</strong> who wish to join one of our courses.</p>

<p><strong>Attendance:</strong> before enrolling you should ensure that you can attend all classes offered as far as possible<br />
<strong>Before the first session of your course:</strong> you must let us know early if you decide to give up your place on your course. We will send you a reminder by mobile text 3 days prior to the course start date. You may also be asked to complete a further, more detailed assessment of your skills before the first session so that your tutor can plan your learning to meet your needs. Details will be given to you at the enrolment session.<br />
<strong>Proof of identity:</strong> please bring photographic ID and your National Insurance number with you to this enrolment session. You will also need to bring your chosen payment method if you are looking to enrol on one of our ICT courses. Proof of identity will be required for taking exams/tests or Assessments.<br />
<strong>Home study:</strong> you may be required to do some study at home between sessions to assist with your learning and progress.<br />
<strong>Parking at Centres:</strong> parking at centres may be limited, please be prepared to use on street parking or pay and display car parks.
