Improve your English (ESOL L1/L2)

<p>In your class you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>Work on your reading skills, including reading for meaning, proof reading and revising your own work</li>
<li>Work on your writing skills, including correct grammar, sentence structure and punctuation</li>
<li>Work on your speaking and listening skills, which will involve group discussions</li>
<li>Once your tutor feels you are ready, you will take an assessment</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>This is a course leading to a qualification.</strong></p>

<p><strong>This is a City & Guilds 4692 ESOL qualification at L1 or L2 You will take exams in:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Reading and Writing</li>
<li>Speaking and Listening</li>
</ul>

<p>Your tutor will help you to decide when you have the skills to take a qualification. You and your tutor will agree goals for you to work on in class. Together you will look at these regularly. <strong>PLEASE NOTE - If you do not attend the reading exam that we have registered you for, you will be charged a £30.00 administration fee.</strong></p>

<p>This course is for you if</p>

<ul>
<li>You want to gain an ESOL 4692 qualification at Level 1 or Level 2</li>
<li>You want to improve your speaking & listening, reading and writing skills for work and/or personal reasons</li>
<li>You can attend every class</li>
<li>You can complete any homework given</li>
</ul>

<p>You will need previous experience or qualifications in English to attend this course. Learners attending this course have said <q>The class is very well organised and the teaching always effective; I have learnt many things over the years.</q> <strong>IMPORTANT - You will be expected to attend regularly from the first session and complete any homework given. If you do not attend you may be withdrawn from the course.</strong> </p>

<p>You will need an A4 folder, pen and paper. A bi-lingual dictionary would be useful.</p>
