What the course is about

<p>During this course you will receive both group and individual support in order to help you learn more about landscape painting. During this course you will be taught the basic principles of drawing and painting landscapes using a variety of mediums. As the weeks progress you will explore a variety of specialist techniques and the work of different artists enabling you to create paintings to be proud of! Come along and join the fun. This course offers an avenue for creative pursuits, improving your health and wellbeing. The friendly classroom environment is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people. Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience. This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course. All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and some writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.</p>

<p>There are no pre-course admission sessions or interviews in order to enrol on this course. Please ensure you have read and understood our STEPS guidance in order to accurately enrol upon the correct level course for you.</p>

Assessment of progress, tests, exams

<p>Your tutor will work with you to develop a Personal Development Plan (PDP) which will help you review your progress towards achieving your goals during the course. There is no qualification or examination attached to this course.</p>

Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

<p>This course is for beginners and for those who would like to refresh or further their skills.</p>

Materials and costs

<p>You will need a notebook, pen and A4 folder. You should also bring any relevant art materials that you have available to the first session, but before buying expensive materials and equipment please discuss their purchase with your tutor.? You will be expected to purchase your own materials as the course progresses. You are advised to wear old clothes or an overall to protect your clothes. During the first session your tutor may discuss additional materials to bring if possible.</p>
