What the course is about
<p>In the unique setting of Magdalen Farm, surrounded by nature and wildlife you will receive both group and individual support from a qualified teacher in order to help you learn more about mindfulness.</p>
<p>You will be guided to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings so that you are better able to cope when you are feeling stressed or anxious.</p>
<p>During this course you will be supported in exploring simple breathing and relaxation techniques as well as mediative walks in the natural surroundings of the farm.</p>
<p>A healthy and locally sourced lunch and refreshments are provided by the farm for you to enjoy as part of this unique wellbeing day.</p>
<p>This course is participative and includes information giving, demonstration, discussion and working together. You will need to be prepared to take an active part in the sessions and to challenge some of your thoughts and beliefs. It offers an avenue for creative pursuits, improving your health and wellbeing.</p>
<p>All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.</p>
<p>This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.</p>

<p>This course is for complete beginners, and for those who would like to refresh or practice their mindfulness skills.</p>
Materials and costs
<p>You may like to bring along a notebook and pen and wear comfortable clothes and shoes.</p>
<p>Depending on the weather, it may be useful to have some wet weather clothing/boots available on the day - just in case.</p>
