Bitesize: Video Performance Skills for Business

<p>During this short bitesize course, you will be introduced to all the elements that are involved in presenting through video. No matter which platform you use for video chatting or conferencing, the same elements of presentation will apply.</p>

<p>As you may be aware, because of the move to more homebased work roles during the last few years, video calls have become the norm for many sectors. In fact, many job interviews are held through video calls nowadays. So how do we present our ‘best selves’ via this medium? </p>

<p>We will explore the importance of: </p>

<li>Face and body placement on screen </li>
<li>Lighting </li>
<li>Audio quality </li>
<li>Safeguarding </li>
</ul>

<p>All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.?</p>

<p>Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.?</p>

<p>Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience.?</p>

<p>This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.</p>

<p>There are no pre-course information sessions or interviews in order to enrol on this course.</p>

<p>Your tutor will work with you to develop a Personal Development Plan (PDP) which will help you review your progress towards achieving your goals during the course.   </p>

<p>There is no qualification or examination attached to this course.</p>

<p>This course is for complete beginners, and for those who would like to refresh their skills.</p>

<p>You will need a notebook, pen and A4 folder.</p>
