<p>If you answered yes to any of these questions, this could be the course for you. It’s a distance learning course with no exams.</p>

<p>This free online course is specifically designed to cater for adults who would like to explore and prepare for Level 1 Functional Skills at their own pace and at a time that’s convenient.</p>

<p>The sessions will get you thinking with a range of activities that will guide you through different topics.</p>

<p>This session will involve:</p>

<p>Being able to test and build on your current maths knowledge at Level 1.</p>
</li>
</ol>

<ol>
<li>
<p>Prepare for learning maths in a classroom environment.</p>
</li>
</ol>

<ol>

<p>Completing online activities on topics such as positive and negative numbers, multiplication, division, area, measures, percentages, fractions, probability, data and more. </p>
</li>
</ol>

<p>You will also have opportunities to register for other number courses if you would like to learn more.</p>

Assessment of progress, tests, exams

<p>There are no exams on this course.</p>

<p>A tutor will happily advise where you can look for other numeracy courses if you would like to work on your number skills further after this course.</p>

Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

<p>This course is for adults (19 or older) who do not already have GCSE maths at Grade C (4) or above or an equivalent Level 2 maths qualification or anybody who feels they are not able to complete work at GCSE maths level any more if they have achieved a level 2 qualification in the past.</p>

Materials and costs

<p>This course is funded by the Government’s Multiply fund, therefore, there are no fees or charges for course materials.</p>

<strong>Fully funded learners:</strong> if you have been offered a fully funded place on a course and no longer require it, you must advise us before the course starts so that your place can be offered to someone else. We reserve the right to withdraw future offers of fully funded places if you regularly do not start or complete funded courses.<br />
<strong>Home study:</strong> you will&nbsp;be required to do significant&nbsp;study at home between sessions to assist with your learning and progress.<br />

<strong>Proof of identity:</strong> please bring photographic ID and your National Insurance number with you to your first session. You will also need to provide it for any external examinations you take.<br />
<strong>Off-site activities:</strong> with some courses, there may be the opportunity for off-site enrichment activities at additional cost, for example: gallery, museum or exhibition visits. Where this is an integral part of the course, your tutor will discuss the arrangements with you during your induction.<br />
<strong>Parking at centres:</strong> parking at centres may be limited; please be prepared to use on street parking or pay and display car parks.
