<li>Do you want to understand the maths methods being taught in your childrens school?</li>
<li>Do you want to be able to help your child with maths homework?</li>
</ul>
<p>If you answered yes to any of these questions, this could be the course for you. It's a distant learning course with no exams. There are 2 units to complete.</p>
<p>This free online course is specifically designed to cater for adults who want to be able to support their child’s learning of maths.</p>
<p>The sessions will get you thinking with a range of activities that can be enjoyed in your own home and completed at your own pace.</p>
<p>This session will involve:</p>
<ul>
<li>Being able to understand your child’s maths curriculum and what topics they'll be covering.</li>
<li>
Support your child to understand the importance of assessment.
</li>
<li>
Completing online activities around topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, measures, fractions and algebra.
</li>
</ul>
<p>You will also have opportunities to register for other number courses if you would like to learn more.</p>

Assessment of progress, tests, exams
<p>There are no exams on this course.</p>
<p>A tutor will happily advise where you can look for other numeracy courses if you would like to work on your number skills further after this course.</p>
Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
<p>This course is for adults (19 or older) who do not already have GCSE maths at Grade C (4) or above or an equivalent Level 2 maths qualification or anybody who feels they are not able to complete work at GCSE maths level any more if they have achieved a level 2 qualification in the past.</p>
<p>It is for people who want to improve their maths skills and confidence to support their child with maths learnt at school.</p>
