What the course is about
<p>During this course you will receive both group and individual support to create a unique and beautiful piece of art. The pebbles and tile would be perfect to give as a gift for someone special or to keep as a special memory. </p>
<p>Topics may include: </p>
<ul>
<li>Choosing colours and a design</li>
<li>Teaching your child how to create a simple design</li>
<li>Painting the chosen design</li>
</ul>
<p>All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing and you will work using these elements throughout the course. </p>
<p>Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community. Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people. </p>
<p>Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience. </p>
<p>This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course. </p>

<p>This course is for parents, grandparents and carers of children under 16.</p>
Assessment of progress, tests, exams
<p>Your tutor will work with you to develop a Personal Development Plan (PDP) which will help you review your progress towards achieving your goals during the course. </p>
<p>There is no qualification or examination attached to this course. </p>
Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
<p>This course is for parents, grandparents and carers, of children under 16. It is for complete beginners or those who would like to refresh and share their skills. </p>
<p>This course is ideally suited for children aged 4 and above. </p>
<p>Maximum x 2 children per adult. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. During sessions children are the sole responsibility of their accompanying adult. </p>
Materials and costs
<p>You will need a notebook, pen and A4 folder.</p>
<p>Please ensure that you and your child are wearing old clothing and shoes appropriate for painting. </p>
