<h4><strong>Important information about your application</strong></h4> <p>We are a provider based in Dorset and our funding is primarily targeted towards local residents. While we do consider applications from outside of Dorset, please note that funding may not be available and a full fee may need to be charged. If you are located outside of Dorset, we encourage you to check the availability of funded adult learning opportunities in your own area. You will also need to complete an online BKSB English assessment, unless you have previously done this with Skills & Learning in the last six months.</p> <p>You need to be available by phone during the 2 hours covered by the admission session. You will be contacted by one of our advisors who will use the information gathered in this application form, the online assessment and further conversation with yourself to help us to find the right course for you and to identify your eligibility for funding.</p> <p>You should set aside around 30 minutes to complete your application. Please ensure that you give us as much information as possible to support your application, particularly your reasons for wanting to join the course. You will also need details of any previous qualifications, so please have these ready. Once you have submitted your application, you will be sent your BKSB login details by email.</p> <p>When you get your login details, log in to BKSB, go to <strong>Focus Functional Skills</strong> then <strong>English (Reforms)</strong> and select <strong>View Course</strong> to continue. Then choose <strong>Take an Initial Assessment</strong>.</p> <p>Please complete your BKSB assessment within 48 hours of your application. You will then be enrolled on your chosen admission session and confirmation sent out to you.</p>
