What the course is about
<p>A structured interactive course that focuses on preparing attendees for a career in private health care </p>
<p> </p>
<p>This course will provide you with: </p>
<p>An updated CV </p>
<p>Supported interview practice </p>
<p>FREE Dementia Awareness Training with certificate (subject to confirmation) </p>
<p>A guaranteed interview from Blossom Care (assuming you attend the whole course) </p>
<p>A “Day in the Life” questions and answers session with a current Health Care Assistant from Blossom Care. </p>
<p>Myth busting regarding the private care sector </p>
<p> </p>
<p>This course supports you to prepare for a career with Bossom Care and includes a guaranteed interview </p>
<p>with the employer. </p>
<p>Each attendee will get advice on how to prepare for and practice their interview skills as well as receive peer and trainer feedback.</p>
<p>There will also be an opportunity to discuss learning opportunities at Skills and Learning.</p>

<p>This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.</p>
Pre-course information session or interview
<p>Learners need to be able to use a computer you will be asked to complete a Learning Agreement prior to the course. They also need working to at least Level 1 in English language.</p>
Assessment of progress, tests, exams
<p>There is no assessment on this course, but you will be provided with feedback during the session.</p>
Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
<p>This course is for people who are employed or unemployed and looking for a new job.</p>
<p>You should have an interest the Care sector and in your own potential and aspirations. You will need to be prepared to take an active part in the sessions and to challenge some of your thoughts and beliefs.</p>
<p>This course may be of particular help to you if you are thinking of changing your career direction.</p>
<p>You need to consider the type of information that you are prepared to share with others in the class.</p>

<strong>Places on courses:</strong> many of our courses are in high demand. If you have been offered a place but no longer require it, please advise us immediately as you may be preventing another learner from taking the place. Where learners do not attend the first session, without having given prior notice, Skills & Learning reserve the right to offer the place on the course to another learner; you will not be eligible for a refund it it is outside of the terms outlined in our cancellation policy.<br />
<strong>Fully funded learners:</strong> if you have been offered a fully funded place on a course and no longer require it, you must advise us before the course starts so that your place can be offered to someone else. We reserve the right to withdraw future offers of fully funded places if you regularly do not start or complete funded courses.<br />
<strong>Home study:</strong> you will be required to do significant study at home between sessions to assist with your learning and progress.<br />
<strong>Qualification Levels:</strong> there is further information about qualification levels on our website.<br />
<strong>Proof of identity:</strong> please bring photographic ID and your National Insurance number with you to your first session. You will also need to provide it for any external examinations you take.<br />
<strong>Off-site activities:</strong> with some courses, there may be the opportunity for off-site enrichment activities at additional cost, for example: gallery, museum or exhibition visits. Where this is an integral part of the course, your tutor will discuss the arrangements with you during your induction.<br />
<strong>Parking at centres:</strong> parking at centres may be limited; please be prepared to use on street parking or pay and display car parks.
