Get Ready for Online Learning - Psychology

<p>During these sessions you will learn how to make the most of online learning. It aims to get you ready to fully engage with your online class.  </p>

<p>Topics may include:   </p>

<li>How to access your Office 365 account </li>
<li>How to access your learner email account and Word </li>
<li>How to access Teams and join your class online </li>
<li>How to navigate Teams </li>
<li>How engage with online polls and group discussions </li>
<li>How to upload homework and access private channels  </li>
<li>How to navigate between screens so that you can review materials whilst in the session  </li>
<li>A variety of learning activities will be used on this workshop, including tutor presentation, discussions and Q&A. </li>
</ul>

<p>This course will improve your acquisition of skills for personal satisfaction, training, employment, or self-employment. </p>

<p>There are no Pre-course admission sessions or interviews in order to enrol on this course.  To enrol on Psychology GCSE you will need to complete an application and confirm your ability to attend the mandatory in-person exam held in Poole, Dorset. </p>

<p>Your tutor will discuss any learning outcomes and goals for this workshop. You will be asked to complete an initial and end assessment.   </p>

<p>There is no qualification attached to this course. </p>

<p>We have designed this course to prepare you for online learning or to refresh your skills if you are currently or due to start learning online. </p>

<p>This is an online course. To fully engage with sessions, you will need access to a working computer or laptop that has a camera and microphone. You will also need the internet.  </p>

<p>We would also ask that during the sessions you are somewhere that is private and quiet so that you can fully access the sessions without any hinderance.      </p>

<p>This course aims to prepare you for your online Psychology course. <strong>Home study:</strong> you will&nbsp;be required to do significant&nbsp;study at home between sessions to assist with your learning and progress.<br />

<strong>Proof of identity:</strong> please bring photographic ID and your National Insurance number with you to your first session. You will also need to provide it for any external examinations you take.<br />
<strong>Off-site activities:</strong> with some courses, there may be the opportunity for off-site enrichment activities at additional cost, for example: gallery, museum or exhibition visits. Where this is an integral part of the course, your tutor will discuss the arrangements with you during your induction.<br />
<strong>Parking at centres:</strong> parking at centres may be limited; please be prepared to use on street parking or pay and display car parks.
