What the course is about

<p><strong>Explore the Human Mind: An Introduction to Psychology and Personal Growth</strong></p>

<p>In this engaging course, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of psychology—examining how we think, feel, and behave through the lens of some of the field’s most influential scientists and theories. Alongside academic exploration, you’ll also reflect on your own personal development, gaining insights that can enhance both your learning and everyday life.</p>

<li>Ethics in psychological practice</li>
<li>Practical research methods</li>
<li>Groundbreaking discoveries by famous psychologists</li>

<p>Throughout the course, you’ll develop your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, using them to explore ideas, share reflections, and build confidence in your understanding of psychology.</p>

<p>If you have declared at enrolment that you are unemployed, you may be invited to meet with an Information, Advice and Guidance Officer or employability member of staff, to identify other learning opportunities that will support you to secure employment or improve your employment prospects. We highly recommend that you engage fully in any other learning opportunities that we help you identify.</p>

Assessment of progress, tests, exams

<p>This is a qualification course is designed to support your personal growth while building essential life and learning skills. You’ll work towards: NCFE Entry Level 3 Certificate in Personal and Social Development by<strong> </strong>creating a portfolio of evidence that reflects your progress and achievements.  You will complete homework tasks to reinforce your learning and build your portfolio. </p>

Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

<p>This is a Beginners course, and you will be expected to have no experience in the subject, or very basic knowledge of the subject including some memory of the subject from school. You will need to have English skills at Entry Level 3.</p>

<p>Please bring along a pen and notebook to the workshop.</p>
