How we are funded and why this is important We want to start by letting you know how we are funded because you need to be eligible to learn with us. Haringey Learns receives funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). To be eligible for courses funded by the GLA you have to: <ul> <li>Be aged 19 or over on the 31 August 2023</li> <li>Live in London</li> <li>Meet the GLA residency requirements.</li> </ul> To be eligible for courses funded by the ESFA you have to: <ul> <li>Be aged 19 or over on the 31 August 2023</li> <li>Live in London for courses with a MTP course code</li> <li>You can live outside of London for other courses</li> <li>Meet the ESFA residency requirements.</li> </ul> We will ask you to provide information to confirm that you are eligible for funding and we will let you know how you can do this. Finding a course Home - to use the search option Courses - to see the range of courses we are offering Before making an application, you can find out what you will learn on the course, check any entry requirements and course times in the course information. Please note that some of our courses are delivered online so a device with internet access will be needed to apply and study for these courses. How to enrol or apply for a course Where there is an ENROL option you can apply and you will be enrolled. Courses which have an APPLY option will need you to complete an initial assessment before enrolling.  We use initial assessments to help us make sure you are on the right course at the right level. If you have not applied for a course with us before it can take up to 30 minutes to register (sign up), complete and submit a course application. You may be asked to give details of previous qualifications so please make sure you have this information before you start your application. When you apply to do a course with us we use the Learner Record Service to check any previous courses you may have done. Please note that applying for a course does not guarantee a place. Initial Assessment After you have completed your application, you will be contacted about the initial assessment you will need to complete for your chosen course (this does not apply to courses that have an ENROL  option). Please choose a suitable time and a quiet place to complete the assessment. We recommend that you complete your assessment by the target date as courses can fill up quickly. After you have completed your initial assessment, we will be in touch to arrange an interview with a tutor. If an interview is not needed, we will let you know if you can enrol. Health & Support Needs If you have a health or support need (learning difficulty or disability), please let us know when you apply for a course.
