This course looks at relaxation and breathing techniques in relation to stress and anxiety, understanding common symptoms and how this can affect mental and physical wellbeing. These effective techniques that can be used everyday by all to relieve stress and relax the body, mind and soul.

What is this course about?

<p>The aim of this course is to support individuals with their health and wellbeing,  to have a better understanding of the importance of breathing and relaxation and how this can have a positive contribution to wellbeing. The symptoms of stress and anxiety and how this can affect our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and  physically.</p>

<p>There is currently strong evidence on how relaxation and breathing techniques can contribute to improving wellbeing. The course will bring empowerment through awareness, identifying strategies and techniques that can be used, to enable individuals to make the positive changes.</p>

Who is this course for?

<p>Individuals who would like to improve their mental and physical wellbeing in identifying relaxation and breathing techniques that can be used to relive everyday stress, relax the body, mind and soul.</p>

<p>Identify self-help strategies that can be used and access to specialist support services..</p>

Are there any entry requirements?

<p>You must be aged 19 and over by the 31st of August 2023 and be eligible for publicly funded.</p>

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

<p>No Interview is required but participants are required to complete a feedback questionaire.</p>

<p>A good level of English language is required.</p>

How will I be taught?

<p>The workshop is delivered online using MS Teams platform, you will be emailed the joining instructions once you enrol on the course.</p>

<p>You will be supported using a range of methods including:</p>

<p>Whole group – trainer delivery or on MS Teams </p>

<p>The group sizes are restricted to allow for peer group focus, development and support.</p>

<p>Video, You Tube and other media.</p>

<p>Quizzes and assessment</p>

<p>Sharing expereinces and participant feedback</p>

What feedback will I get?

<p>You will receive regular feedback from your workshop trainer, the course promotes self-study as well as trainer led sessions  at the end of the course you and your group peers and trainer will reflect on the progress you have made. </p>

<p>Ongoing- self led learning and reflective practice. </p>

Equipment Required

<p>Technology- device such as phone, tablet, laptop of desktop computer with speakers and microphone.</p>

<p>Participants are not expected to have their video on during the workshop but participation is required.</p>

<p>Paper and pen for taking notes.</p>
