What is this course about?
<p>The course is about using Microsoft Excel effectively, using Mathematical formulae. The course focuses on developing confidence with number skills, understanding the correct order of mathematical operations, and using brackets effectively within Excel formulae. Learners will apply Maths concepts to real-life and workplace-style scenarios using spreadsheets. </p>
Who is this course for?
<p>The course is for learners who would like to improve their competency in using Microsoft Excel and developing mathematical knowledge that supports the practical use of Microsoft Excel.</p>
Are there any entry requirements?
<p>You must be aged 19 or over by 31st August 2026 to join a course. Enrolment is subject to (1) GLA-funding eligibility being confirmed in respect of residency, income and prior attainment, and (2) initial assessments. You will have Maths competency at Entry 3 - Level 1 to be able to access this course. Your tutor will conduct a skills check before you are enrolled.</p>
Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?
<p>You will have an interview with your tutor to determine your current level of Maths and Digital skills.</p>
How will I be taught?
<p>You will be taught safely in face to face lessons.</p>
What feedback will I get?
<p>Your tutor will work closely with you and will give you feedback on tasks and activities throughout the course.</p>
How will I be able to give my views on the course?
<p>You will be able to give your views on the course by completing a feedback form at the end of the course. You may be asked to give feedback to the funders or to Ofsted.</p>

Assessment Method
<p>You will be assessed throughout the course. through tasks and activities. Homework is also assigned regularly.</p>
Equipment Required
<p>You will be asked to bring a folder, writing paper and pens, to lessons. At the centre, you will have access to laptops that you will use during lessons. </p>
