Pathway to Employment: Carework Academy

<p>The course is about getting ready to work in the Health and Social Care sector and acquiring qualifications, knowledge and skills to do so. Learners should be ready to take up job offers after completing course.</p>

<p>This course is for jobseekers who wish to find jobs and build a career in Health and Social Care settings.</p>

<p>You must be 19 or over, by 31st August 2026. Enrolment is subject to GLA funding eligibility being confirmed in respect of residency, income and prior attainment and a skills check.</p>

<p>You will have a skills check with one of the course tutors before you can enrol.</p>

<p>You will be taught safely in face to face lessons.</p>

<p>Your teacher will give you feedback about your work and your progress on the course, which will help you improve.</p>

<p>You will be able to give your views in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</p>

<p>You will have a guaranteed interview at the end of the course and we expect you to take up employment if an offer is made by the employer interviewing.</p>

<p>Working in collaboration with employers potentially opens doors to careers in this area, on successful completion and job interview. The course package is designed to ensure you have the core and academic skills rwequired to work in this field and make you attractive to employers.</p>

<p>You will build up a portfolio of evidence of the skills and knowledge you acquire. Your tutors will support you throughout the course to build this portfolio of evidence.</p>

<p>You will need to come to lessons with pens, a ring binder folder, writing paper and a notebook.</p>
