What is this course about?

<p>During this 6 week QuickBooks Course, you will learn everything you need to know about QuickBooks Online. There is no special software to install; we will use the free 30-day trial version that everybody, who signs up, gets for free. You could also use the accountant&#039;s edition that is currently free if you can access it.</p>

<p>The step-by-step approach we take will show you how to navigate through every part of QBO. We will perform the complete set up together. You will then experience every common transaction type that can be entered into QBO. You will see</p>

<p>• How to manage and customise the most important reports in QBO.</p>

<p>• How to find and fix data entry mistakes and even find anything ever entered into a QBO account.</p>

<p>• How to apply specialty topics to QBO. The transactions you learn are what any company would need when using QBO.</p>

<p>• How to enter invoices, sales receipts and customer payments in to the QBO account.</p>

<p>• how to do deposits and QBO bank related transactions as well as entering vendor&#039;s bills and paying bills in QBO.</p>

<p>• how to execute Petty Cash and other cash back related transactions.</p>

Who is this course for?

<p>Bookkeepers and Accountants who will be using this for their clients</p>

<p>• Students who are going for jobs where the requirement is working knowledge of Xero</p>

<p>• Those who have studied accounting, but want practical knowledge of how to use a popular accounting software which will help them find employment</p>

<p>• Previous knowledge of accounting is not presumed or required</p>

Are there any entry requirements?

<p>You must be aged 19 and over by the 31st of August 2025 and be eligible for publicly funded courses. Enrolment is subject to (1) GLA-fundng eligibility being confirmed in respect of residency, income and prior attainment, and (2) initial assessments. Those accepted on the course will have demonstrated through initial assessment:</p>

<p>• Written and spoken English at Level 1 or above</p>

<p>• Digital Skills at Level 1 or above</p>

<p>• Maths skills at consolidated Entry 3 or above</p>

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

<p>Yes</p>

How will I be taught?

<p>You will learn safely in face-to-face classes.</p>

What feedback will I get?

<p>Your class mates and your teacher will give you feedback about your work which will help you improve.</p>

<p>Your tutor will give QuickBooks tips and tricks along the way to help you have total control over all your QuickBooks Online records to help you become confident using the QuickBooks Online functionality features.</p>

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

<p>You will be able to give your views in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</p>

What course can I do next?

<p>On successful completion, this course could lead to studying for an AAT Bookkeeping and/ or Functional Skills maths and English qualifications. You could also enrol on an ICT course to improve your digital skills.</p>

<p>It provides additional skills for those already in employment likely to lead to increased opportunities.</p>

<p>Towards the end of the course, your teacher will speak to you about your next steps in learning.</p>

Assessment Method

<p>Your learning will be assessed through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. You will take part in discussions and chats with other learners and your teacher. Your teacher will give you homework each week.</p>
