Career Development: Bookkeeping: How to use "Xero"

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">You’ll learn how to use the Xero system from scratch, how to enter opening balances, post customer invoices and credit notes, post supplier bills and credit notes, pay suppliers, petty cash, prepare a VAT return, reconcile the bank, post journals, run reports amongst over things.</span></span></p>

<p>You will learn safely in face-to-face classes.</p>

<p>Your class mates and your teacher will give you feedback about your work which will help you improve.</p>

<p>You will be able to give your views in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</p>

<p>On successful completion, this course could lead to studying for an AAT Bookkeeping and/ or Functional Skills maths and English qualifications. You could also enrol on an ICT course to improve your digital skills.</p>

<p>It provides additional skills for those already in employment likely to lead to increased opportunities.</p>

<p>Towards the end of the course, your teacher will speak to you about your next steps in learning.</p>

<p>As part of your course we may organise trips and othe enrichments activities to assist you with your learning. Trips/ enrichment activities are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.</p>

<p>Your learning will be assessed through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. You will take part in discussions and chats with other learners and your teacher. Your teacher will give you homework each week.</p>

<p>You will need to come to lessons with pens, a ring binder folder, wriitng paper or a notebook.</p>
