Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">• Introduction to Bookkeeping • Principles of Bookkeeping Controls. A student completing this qualification will develop practical accountancy skills in the double entry bookkeeping system and in using associated documents and processes. They will use bookkeeping skills to confidently perform accounting transactions and understand how to process financial information in accordance with set procedures and schedules</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">This qualification course is for students who wish to pursue a range of careers in either the private or public sectors and looking to take on or develop roles such as finance assistant or accounts administrator.</span></span></p>

<p>You must be aged 19 and over by the 31st of August 2024. <span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif; font-size:10pt">You should be assessed at working towards Level 2 in both English and maths. You will also need to be able to access online learning resources including the AAT website and the Mindful Education platform.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You would be invited to an informal face to face, online or telephone interview with a tutor to ensure that the course is suitable for you and will meet your needs.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will be taught through classroom sessions on site at Haringey Leans, Wood Green Library. You will also carry out independent study on the Mindful Education platform.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will get feedback from the tutor in class and on any assignments that you complete. You will also complete an Individual learning plan where you will record and discuss your progress with the tutor.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will be able to give your views to your Class Rep, in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You may progress to Level 3 in Bookkeeping or to further Digital or career development courses, depending on your aims and progress.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will have access to a MS Teams Digital classroom where you may access additional learning resources or communication from the Haringey Learns learning community.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will also have the opportunity to complete a qualification in Environmental Sustainability.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will also be offered a wide range of different wellbeing or engagement activities within the service.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will be continuously assessed by the tutor on assignments and tasks throughout the course but your final  assessments will be a computer based assessments which will be carried out at our learning centre.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Gill Sans MT&#34;,sans-serif">You will require a folder and pens and paper and a calculator. You are recommended to have a device (smartphone/laptop or tablet) with which to access electronic resources. Please do speak to us if you do not have access to this and we will talk to you about our facilities such as our Study Lounge.</span></span></p>
