<ul>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">the need to produce timely and accurate work and to follow ethical principles </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">how to identify assets, liabilities, income, expenses, capital profit or loss,</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">the differences between trading for cash and trading on credit. </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">the role that software can have in bookkeeping and the benefits and risks that different types of software may bring.</span></span></li>
</ul>

Who is this course for?
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">This qualification course is for students who wish to pursue a range of careers in either the private or public sectors and looking to take on or develop roles such as accounts assistant or in procurement or finance.</span></span></p>
Are there any entry requirements?
<div>You must be aged 19 and over by the 31st of August 2024. <span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You should be assessed at working at Level 1 in both English and maths. You will also need to be able to access online learning resources including the AAT website.</span></span></div>
Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You would be invited to an informal face to face, online or telephone interview with a tutor to ensure that the course is suitable for you and will meet your needs.</span></span></p>
How will I be taught?

What feedback will I get?
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You will get feedback from the tutor in class and on any assignments that you complete. You will also complete an Individual learning plan where you will record and discuss your progress with the tutor.</span></span></p>
How will I be able to give my views on the course?
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You will be able to give your views to your Class Rep, in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</span></span></p>
What course can I do next?
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You may progress to Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or to further English, Maths, Digital or career development courses, depending on your aims and progress.</span></span></p>

Assessment Method
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You will be continuously assessed by the tutor on assignments and tasks throughout the course but your final assessments will be a computer based assessments which will be carried out at our learning centre.</span></span></p>
Equipment Required
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Gill Sans MT",sans-serif">You will require a folder and pens and paper and a calculator. You are recommended to have a device (smartphone/laptop or tablet) with which to access electronic resources. Please do speak to us if you do not have access to this and we will talk to you about our facilities such as our Study Lounge.</span></span></p>
