<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Learn and develop basic sewing techniques, using a number of leftover and recycled fabrics for your projects. Learn skills to refashion clothes and re-use fabrics you will already have to make household items and to customise your clothes. English and maths skills will also be developed whilst on this practical course in a friendly environment and you will have the opportunity to make new friends. Develop skills using your/a sewing machine to make a recycled something for yourself or a loved one.</span></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Examples of what you will learn on the course:</span></strong></p>
<p style="margin-left:36.0pt; margin-right:0cm"><span style="font-family:Symbol; font-size:12.0pt">·<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:7pt"> </span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt">How to use sewing machine/functions/attachments safely and confidently to design and make up a cushion cover with a zip and piping. Knowledge of basic pattern cutting.</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:36.0pt; margin-right:0cm"><span style="font-family:Symbol; font-size:12.0pt">·<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:7pt"> </span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Be able to follow pattern layout, grain etc. recognising pattern symbols and using correct seam finishes to complete a new or recycled garment. </span></p>
