For those wanting to develop core strength and stability and improve posture, breathing, mobility and flexibility.
Entry Requirements?
No previous experience is necessary.
What will you learn?
Promote strength, balance, flexibility and postural awareness. You will also be taught the various health and safety requirements associated with the exercises, including warm up and cool down exercises as well as the correct stretching techniques..
How will you learn?
* Establish correct body alignment to perform the Pilates exercises.
* Recognise and describe your core postural muscles.
* Initiate movements from core postural muscles.
* Apply a routine which includes warm up, cool down and stretching exercises.
* Perform 15 sit ups using 3 alternate techniques.
What will you need to bring?
Please wear loose clothing (such as a track suit and trainers), bring your own mats, bottled water.
How will you be assessed?
The tutor will ensure that you are performing the exercise correctly and to the best of your ability ensuring you are in a safe and effective environment.
