What the course is about
<p>The establishment of Britain as a province in the Roman empire introduced the classical pantheon of gods and goddesses alongside the worship of existing Celtic deities. Over the next 400 years, religions for across the empire became part of the ritual landscape in Britain. Find out about the most popular gods and goddesses in Roman Britain and objects which survive as evidence for their worship. This workshop is suitable for all adult learners and uses images and spoken information to introduce, explore and discuss the workshop topic.</p>
<p>Priority will be given to residents of the London Borough of Camden for this workshop, however other residents of the United Kingdom are welcome to apply.</p>
