<li>The Level 1 Essential Digital Skills qualification is designed for adults who want to develop the digital skills needed for work, learning and everyday life.</li>
<li>Suitable for students progressing from Entry 3 or those confident with basic digital tasks who want to build more advanced digital capabilities.</li>
</ul>

Key Topics

<p>The qualification covers the same five national digital skills areas as Entry 3, but at a more advanced, work-focused level:</p>

<ul>
<li>Using Devices & Handling Information</li>
<li>Creating & Editing</li>
<li>Communicating</li>
<li>Transacting</li>
<li>Being Safe & Responsible Online</li>
</ul>

Course requirements

<ul>
<li>You must be aged 19 or over.</li>
<li>Recommended: completion of Essential Digital Skills Entry 3 or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Students at Level 1 should already be familiar with using email, the internet and basic software.</li>
<li>An initial assessment will determine your suitability for Level 1.</li>
</ul>
