Supported Employment Programme

<p>This programme is designed to support adults with learning difficulties, disabilities, or barriers to work to gain and sustain paid employment.</p>

<p>Supported Employment offers personalised support to help you develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed for work. The programme focuses on preparing you for employment and supporting you directly in the workplace to help you succeed.</p>

<p>The programme is tailored to your individual needs and goals and may include:</p>

<ul>
<li>Employability and Job Search Skills</li>
<li>English and Communication Skills</li>
<li>Maths Skills for Work</li>
<li>Digital Skills</li>
<li>Personal Development and Confidence Building</li>
<li>Workplace Skills and Job-Specific Training</li>
<li>You will learn both in a classroom setting and within real work environments.</li>
</ul>

<p>To take part in this programme, you should:</p>

<ul>
<li>Be aged 19 or over</li>
<li>Have a learning difficulty, disability, or barrier to employment</li>
<li>Be motivated to find and sustain work</li>
<li>Be willing to take part in training and work-related activity</li>
<li>Be able to travel independently or with support</li>
</ul>

<p>No formal qualifications are required.</p>

<p>City Learning Quarter, Old Hall Street, Wolverhampton WV1 3AU</p>

<p>Work placements will be with local employers across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.</p>

<p>By joining this programme, you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>Receive personalised support to find paid employment</li>
<li>Build confidence and independence</li>
<li>Develop practical job skills in real work settings</li>
<li>Improve communication and teamwork skills</li>
<li>Gain support directly in the workplace from trained staff</li>
<li>Increase your chances of long-term employment</li>
</ul>

<p>You will learn through a flexible and supportive approach, including:</p>

<ul>
<li>One-to-one support from tutors and employment specialists</li>
<li>Job coaching in the workplace</li>
<li>Practical, hands-on experience</li>
<li>Classroom-based sessions (where appropriate)</li>
<li>Real-life work tasks and scenarios</li>
</ul>

<p>Support is tailored to help you succeed both during training and in employment.</p>

<p>There are <strong>no formal exams</strong></p>

<p>Progress is measured through a <strong>personalised programme and portfolio</strong>, which may include:</p>

<ul>
<li>Workplace observations and feedback</li>
<li>Achievement of individual goals</li>
<li>Tutor and job coach reviews</li>
<li>Practical tasks and activities</li>
</ul>

<p>You will have regular reviews to track progress and plan next steps.</p>

<p>There are no <strong>additional course costs</strong>.<br />
All learning materials and resources will be provided.</p>

<p>You may achieve:</p>

<ul>
<li>A relevant Entry Level or Level 1 qualification (e.g. Employability or Skills for Work)</li>
<li>Valuable work experience</li>
<li>A reference from your placement employer</li>
<li>Improved independence and employability</li>
</ul>

<p>After completing the programme, you may:</p>

<ul>
<li>Move into paid employment</li>
<li>Apply for apprenticeships</li>
<li>Progress to further training or education</li>
<li>Continue developing independent living and work skills</li>
</ul>

<p>Your tutor and job coach will support you in planning your next steps.</p>
