Eligibility Please note the following criteria to be eligible for our courses:
- you need live or work within the Wokingham Borough, or have a child attending a Wokingham school
- be 19 years old or over on 31st August 2023 (or 18+ for our Confidence in the Future programme)
- be a UK or Irish citizen or a non-UK national with permission to live in the UK
- have ordinarily been resident in the UK and Islands for at least 3 years
- Hong Kong British National (Overseas) visa holders and their dependants in the UK, are eligible to apply irrespective of time in UK
- All Ukrainian adults and their family members supported through the Ukraine Family Scheme and Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme are eligible to apply for courses irrespective of time in UK
- There are a number of other exemptions including those for some asylum seekers or refugees. Please email us or call 0778 5314 603 if you wish to discuss any exemptions further

Confidence for the Future
1 course availableThis programme enables you to gain important employability skills alongside a work placement or volunteering assignment. The programme will help you identify your current skills and enable you to fill any gaps that may be a barrier to you gaining employment, such as digital skills, maths skills, relevant experience etc. You will learn about different job sectors and the skills required and find a path to gaining these skills. You will be supported throughout by a mentor who will review your progress regularly and guide you to take the next steps into employment or regular volunteering. At the end of the programme, you will be provided with a certificate from Wokingham Borough Council, outlining the skills that you have gained.
