Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

<p>This course is designed as a follow on from our Excel for beginners course. Some prior knowledge or experience using Excel is required so if you already understand most of the basics of using Excel listed below then this course may also be suitable:</p>

<ul>
<li>Basic Excel jargon and terminology such as rows, columns, cells</li>
<li>create a simple Data Table and apply basic formatting. </li>
<li>create basic formula using mathematical operators (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide). </li>
<li>Use basic functions to produce a formula using =SUM, =MIN, =MAX, =AVERAGE, =COUNT. </li>
<li>Inserting a Recommended Chart. </li>
<li>Change Page Setup and Orientation</li>
<li>altering headers and footers</li>
<li>freezing panes</li>
</ul>

Equipment Required

<p>Ideally you should have a personal device on which to be able to practice the tasks learned in class at home. Alternatively be able to make time between sessions to use the library computers.  </p>
