New year, new job? Refresh your basic work maths skills with our new online courses. Various available covering maths skills for specific industries including construction, health and social care, hair and beauty, business and administration, sport, and hospitality and catering.

This is a self-paced online learning course on our CENTURY platform. You will attend an initial tutor-led session over Zoom on the evening of 29th April (7pm - 8pm) to show you how it works and give you some guidance. Then you should be able to spend approximately 2 hours a week over a 12 week period during which to work through the course. (Note that this time can be split up however best suits you.) There will be a follow up Zoom session after a couple of weeks, on the evening of 13th May (7pm - 8pm), to see how you are getting on.

<p>Do you have gaps in your maths knowledge that are preventing you from progressing at work? Would you like to improve your everyday maths skills? Then sign up for one of our 12-week online learning programmes with Century Tech. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve your gaps in knowledge, and the best news is that you can work your way through the courses at your own pace.</p>
<p>You will be given an online learning account, where you will take a short diagnostic check of current knowledge. It is not a test! Based on this check, the AI will set a bespoke pathway of study, ensuring the things you are learning are personal to you. You will complete a series of learning activities along with mini knowledge checks along the way. You will also have access to support from the Adult Education team and one of our friendly tutors. Initially you will be invited to a tutor-led session over Zoom to show you how it works and give some guidance. Following this you will be given access to Century Tech, and you will be free to complete the course. We also offer an optional follow up session with a tutor for further support and guidance. Should you need to, you can also contact the team at any point during the course.</p>
