This programme enables you to gain important employability skills alongside a work placement or volunteering assignment. The programme will help you identify your current skills and enable you to fill any gaps that may be a barrier to you gaining employment, such as digital skills, maths skills, relevant experience etc. You will learn about different job sectors and the skills required and find a path to gaining these skills. You will be supported throughout by a mentor who will review your progress regularly and guide you to take the next steps into employment or regular volunteering. At the end of the programme, you will be provided with a certificate from Wokingham Borough Council, outlining the skills that you have gained.
