Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
<p>Some basic knowledge of using a computer would be expected. For example, using a keyboard & mouse and using files & folders.</p>
Equipment Required
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">To attend this course, you should have a personal device which has access to Microsoft Excel so that you can take part in the course activities and also practice at home. Or a</span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">lternatively, be able to make time between sessions to use the library computers.</span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">For face to face classes in the Library we provide a laptop for you to work on during lessons.</span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong>For Online Classes</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Unless you have two screens, we also recommend you use two devices. One device e.g. phone, tablet to connect to course via Zoom and another e.g. laptop, computer to use Excel. This will allow you to follow the tutors screen on one device while completing tasks on the other.</span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">You will need to ensure the sound is turned off on the computer and that both your camera and microphone are muted when you join. The device used to watch the tutor should have the sound and camera on. The tutor will run through all of this at the start of the first lesson and ensure everyone is comfortable.</span></span></span> </span></span><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">We understand that this may not be possible for everyone, so please do not worry if you do not have two devices to use.</span></span></span></span></p>
