<p>No prior skills or knowledge needed.</p>
How will my progress be assessed?
<p>There will be a variety of different activities throughout the session, including questions and discussion points. There will be time for you to respond however and as often as you feel comfortable. </p>
What will the course cover?
<p>In this 90-minute online workshop, you'll explore the development of the teenage brain and how it influences behaviour and communication. We'll discuss the key needs of teenagers and what can happen when those needs aren't met, including shifts in their behaviour. </p>
<p>The session will also focus on fostering positive communication between parents, carers, and teenagers. You'll walk away with practical strategies for improving communication and overcoming common challenges you may be facing. </p>
How will I be taught?
<p>The sessions will be delivered virtually by a tutor in small groups. There may be questions and discussion points, and we ask that you participate as little or as often as you feel comfortable. </p>
<p>You will be sent a welcome email with a Teams link in advance of the session. </p>
<p>The session is 90 minutes long and includes a timed break. </p>
<p>Please note, we ask that cameras are switched on for safeguarding purposes. </p>
What will I need to bring?
<p>A pen and paper to make your own notes. </p>
<p>You will need access to a laptop/computer/tablet and reliable internet access. </p>
Will I get a qualification?
<p>No.</p>
What will I be able to do after this course?
<p>After this workshop, you will have a deeper understanding of your teen's brain development and how it impacts behaviour and communication. You’ll gain practical strategies for improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and navigating conflicts. </p>
