Who is the course for

<p>These sessions are aimed at parents/guardians with children in KS2 (years 3-6) who would like to build their confidence around helping their child with their maths skills and fluency.  </p>

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course

<p>No prior skills or knowledge needed. </p>

How will my progress be assessed?

<p>You will be asked to complete a ‘Getting to know you’ form before your session, followed by a quick questionnaire at the start and end of the course to show what you enjoyed, learnt and found helpful. The tutor will also give you guidance throughout the sessions and answer any questions that you may have.  </p>

What will the course cover?

<p>This course is divided into 4 interactive sessions that include demonstrations, hands-on activities, and take-home resources. This 4-session course is designed to help parents support their Key Stage 2 children with confidence and clarity in learning maths at home. Focusing on the key areas of place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and fractions, each session will explore essential skills, methods, and vocabulary that underpin the KS2 maths curriculum. </p>

<p>Whether you’re new to the curriculum or looking to refresh your own skills, this supportive course will equip you with tools and insights to make maths enjoyable and accessible for your child. </p>

How will I be taught?

<p>The sessions will be delivered by a tutor in a small group. </p>

What will I need to bring?

<p>You do not need to bring anything but may wish to bring a notebook and a pen. </p>

<p>You will feel empowered to support your child&#039;s maths learning with confidence and a deeper understanding of the maths curriculum and how to make it fun, practical, and engaging. </p>
