What is the course about?

Who is eligible for this course?

What will I learn?

<p>By the end of this course, you will be able to speak clearly to be heard and understood using stress and intonation appropriately; Express statements of fact and short accounts and descriptions clearly; Follow the main points of a discussion and making appropriate contributions; Listen for detail; Follow and give straightforward instructions.</p>

What materials do I need?

<p>Everything is provided but you may choose to bring a pad and pen to make notes.</p>

How will I be assessed?

<p>There will be the opportunity to set personal learning goals to aim for and these will be assessed together as the course progresses. ACL certification on completion.</p>

What can I do next?

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include moving onto the next level ESOL course.</p>

Please note:

<p>You will have either a face to face or over the phone assessment (often supported by a family members or a referrer) to make sure you join the correct level course.</p>

How will you learn?

<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and supportive environment. Interactive learning will take place through discussions, group work, videos and hands-on practice of different tools and techniques.</p>
