Basic English Skills

<p>This course is for people with low English skills It is designed to build your confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening. It aims to lay the foundations for you to progress in life, education and work.</p>

<p>By the end of this course, you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>develop speaking and listening skills </li>
<li>develop reading skills</li>
<li>develop writing skills</li>
<li>develop spelling and grammar skills</li>
<li>understand alphabetical order</li>
</ul>

<p>Everything is provided but we would recommend that you bring a pad to take notes.</p>

<p>Your progress will be assessed through informal group and individual activities such as discussions and workbooks.</p>

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include further learning, volunteering or routes into employment.</p>

<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and supportive environment. Interactive learning will take place through discussions, group work, videos and hands-on practice of different tools and techniques.</p>
