Help your child to learn English & Maths: Key stage 1

<p>This course aims to give you the confidence to support your child’s learning at home and to engage with school life. You will be given tools and strategies to support children&#039;s learning with affordable, fun and engaging activities that can be used at home. This is a practical, relaxed course with plenty of opportunities to discuss ideas and ask questions in an informal environment with an experienced primary class teacher.</p>

<p>By the end of the course, you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>Understand the how children progress throughout primary school in English and maths</li>
<li>Learn new ways to engage children in learning at home through technology, games and activities</li>
</ul>

<p>Everything is provided but you may choose to bring a pad and pen to make notes.</p>

<p>Your progress will be assessed through informal group and individual activities such as discussions and  workbooks.</p>

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include further learning, volunteering or routes into employment.</p>

<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and supportive environment. Interactive learning will take place through discussions, group work, videos and hands-on practice of different tools and techniques.</p>
