What is the course about?
<p>There are a variety of courses to meet the needs of adults who use English as a second language. </p>
<p>The courses are aimed to help people who are new to English as well as more confident learners. You will find opportunities which support you to progress and prepare for work in the UK, or gain an English qualification. </p>
<p>We will work with you to understand your current skill level to ensure you are enrolled on the correct level of course.</p>
<p>Our ESOL courses usually run for one 2.5 hour session a week for 10 weeks.</p>

Who is eligible for this course?

What materials do I need?
<p>Everything is provided but you may choose to bring a pad and pen to make notes.</p>
How will I be assessed?
<p>You and your tutor will agree some targets for you to aim for. Your tutor will support you to achieve your target and discuss how you are doing as the course progresses.</p>
What can I do next?
<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include moving onto the next level ESOL course.</p>
Please note:
<p>You will have either a face to face or over the phone assessment (often supported by a family members or a referrer) to make sure you join the correct level course.</p>
How will you learn?
<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and supportive environment. Interactive learning will take place through discussions, group work, videos and hands-on practice of different tools and techniques.</p>
