What is the course about?

<p>This course aims to help you become involved in growing a Community garden. You will have the opportunity to plan what plants or seeds you would like to grow and then prepare the ground or containers for them. You will learn how to care for your plants and plan how the Community garden will be maintained.</p>

Who is eligible for this course?

What will I learn?

<p>By the end of the course, you will:</p>

<p>•identify basic gardening tools and their uses</p>

<p>•identify plants and their care needs</p>

<p>•prepare and maintain the ground or containers for planting</p>

What materials do I need?

<p>Everything is provided but you may choose to bring a pad and pen to make notes.</p>

How will I be assessed?

<p>Your progress will be assessed through informal group and individual activities such as discussions and workbooks.</p>

What can I do next?

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include further learning, volunteering or routes into employment.</p>
