Cookery - Eat Well, Pay Less

<p>Our cookery courses aim to develop your knowledge and skills so you are able to plan and create healthy and affordable home cooked food.  Our beginers course is aimed at those with limited cooking skills.</p>

<p>We also have a course is or people who already have some basic cooking skills but want to develop their confidence to cook more. We will speak to you before the course to decide which is the best one for you.</p>

<p>Courses usually run for one 3 hour session a week for between 5 and 8 weeks.</p>

<p><strong>*PLEASE NOTE: Courses that are held at Gorse Hill Baptist Church or Enterprise Works involve the use of induction hobs, so may not be suitable for learners who have pacemakers or insulin pumps. If you think you may be affected, please contact us and we may be able to suggest alternative courses.*</strong></p>

<p>Everything is provided but you may choose to bring a pad and pen to make notes.</p>

<p>Your progress will be assessed through informal group and individual activities such as discussions and workbooks.</p>

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include further learning, volunteering or routes into employment.</p>

<p>We will contact you to make sure this course is the right one for you.</p>

<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and supportive environment. Interactive learning will take place through discussions, group work, videos and hands-on practice of different tools and techniques.</p>
