Functional Skills Maths - Level 1

<p>This course will help you gain confidence in maths and develop skills for everyday life and work.</p>

<p>If you find maths challenging or need to gain your maths qualification for work, this course could be for you.</p>

<p>We will work with you to understand your current skill level to ensure you are enrolled on the correct level of course.</p>

<p>By the end of the course you will be able to demonstrate your skills at the appropriate level of the course in using:</p>

- Fractions and decimals<br />
- Common measurements of time, money, weight, capacity, length<br />
- Shape and space<br />
You will also be able to use data and information and solve mathematical problems.<br />

<p>Everything is provided but we would recommend that you bring a pad to take notes.</p>

<p>You will complete an end of course exam. You will be given support to prepare for the exam.</p>

<p>You will receive information and advice about your next steps that could include further learning, volunteering or routes into employment.</p>

<p>We will assess your current skills to make sure you join the correct level course.</p>

<p>You will join a small group in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with interactive learning through discussions, quizzes, hands-on exercises, presentations and videos, as well as independent work.</p>

<p>You will have access to our online learning platform to improve your skills and check your progress.</p>
