What the course is about
<p>Do you know where all your food comes from? In this session you will find out what types, how much and where our food is grown around the world. By exploring the foods we grow in the UK, recognising seasonal food and understanding ‘food miles’, parents can learn how to talk and engage with their children about how beneficial it is to work with nature and grow certain foods ourselves. Linking health and well-being with looking after our planet Earth and by working together on science and art activities will increase your understanding of human inventions and support discussions on this topic at home.</p>
Entry Requirements
<p>Parents or carers with children aged between 5 - 10 years old. Parents/carers must have documneted right to live in the UK and be resident in London, preferrably in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea</p>
Next Step
<p>Parents will develop their parenting skills and confidence in supporting their children’s development, and seek out further family learning opportunities in museum and gallery settings. </p>
