What the course is about
<p>For learners aged over 50 to become self-employed, start or grow a business from an idea, creative talent, skill, product or hobby they have. This online group-based programme, builds confidence, clarity and skills to start and run a business.</p>
<p>Startup School for Seniors is an award-winning 6-week online course for people aged 50+. Taught via a series of video modules, 1:2:1 mentoring and a weekly group call over Zoom, you will learn how to:</p>
<p>1. Create a one-page business plan<br />
2. Figure out your ideal customer and where to find them using social media and other marketing channels<br />
3. Price your product or service<br />
4. Determine any legal requirements to run your business</p>
Entry Requirements
<p>Learners must be aged 50 years or older, be a UK national or have permission to stay in the UK and be resident in London, preferrably in borough of Kensington and Chelsea</p>
<p>Priority is given to:<br />
- Those effected by the economic downturn<br />
- The sporadically unemployed</p>
<p>Participants need a low level of digital skills to engage with the programme and access to the internet or Wifi</p>
