What the course is about
<p>Join our 5-week intergenerational photography course and explore family histories through photography, storytelling, and creativity. Using archival family photographs and personal memories, participants will learn DSLR photography skills while celebrating cultural identity, heritage, and community connections. Together we'll recreate and reinterpret images from the past, fostering pride, confidence, cross-cultural understanding, and meaningful conversations across generations. The course culminates with an exhibition at Harrow Art Centres White Cube Gallery.</p>

<p><strong>Where to go:</strong></p>
<p>Your first session is on Saturday 5th of September at 10am in Hatch End Studio 1. If you are unsure of where to go, please check the Site Map mural near the car park entrance, or call our facilities staff on 07736 778458 who will assist.</p>
<p><strong>What to bring</strong>:</p>
<p>We recommend bringing a refillable bottle of water. There is a water fountain on site you can use.</p>

Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
<p>The programme is facilitated by an Associate Lecturer in Photography and an award-winning photographer, combining professional photographic training with creative storytelling and reflective practice. No previous photography experience is required, and all cameras are provided. Participants will leave with a digital portfolio and a collection of creative outcomes inspired by their own family histories.</p>
