What the course is about

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Run by a Maxability tutor, this nine-week beginners pottery course is an excellent introduction to making pieces from clay for anyone who has either never worked with clay or hasn’t worked with it for quite some time and would like a structured introduction to the material.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">The first five weeks of the course are more prescribed, with participants learning pinch pots and coiling in week 1, soft slab building week 2, hard slab building week 3, finishing details week 4 and glazing week 5. During this time learners are welcome to make whatever pieces they like as long as they utilise the technique being taught during that class.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">The second half of the course is then open for learners to undertake a slightly larger project of their own design, this could be functional or sculptural. This is the time to build on the basics they’ve learnt in the first 5 sessions.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">All pieces made by learners are for them to keep at the end of the course.</span></span></span></p>
