<p>The introduction to volunteering course is designed to provide insight into how volunteering has a positive effect on people and communities and how it can help you build your CV. On the course you will explore the benefits of volunteering, how you can get involved in your local community and how to keep yourself and other safe when volunteering. Your tutor will explore topics such as building relationships, safeguarding yourself and others, professional boundaries, communication skills, benefits of volunteering, how it relates to wellbeing and what transferable skills you can get for employment. </p>

On the course you will explore the benefits of volunteering, how you can get involved in your local community and how to keep yourself and other safe when volunteering. Your tutor will explore topics such as building relationships, safeguarding yourself and others, professional boundaries, communication skills, benefits of volunteering, how it relates to wellbeing and what transferable skills you can get for employment.</p>

You will learn using a combination of working in groups and on an individual, one-to-one basis through practical activities and demonstrations.</p>

<p>This course is open to adults who are resident in Lambeth (or in other London boroughs) and who are interested in this subject area. </p>
