<p>The course will be taught in an IT classroom. There are 5 skills areas (above) and you will have two computer based assessments towards the end of the course. The two assessments are through online, on-screen invigilated tests. </p>
<p>One test will focus on knowledge (with a range of question types including multiple choice, hotspot, drag and drop, object ordering and matching). The second test will focus on skills (with question types including hotspots, advanced hotspots and the BCS In-application assessment engine). </p>

External Qualification
<p>Your overall achievement is calculated by aggregating the scores from both tests. Upon completion and passing the exams, the awarding body will issue a certificate. </p>
Previous experience required?
<p>As a pre-requisite, you will hold the equivalent knowledge and skills developed in the BCS Entry Level Essential Skills for Work qualification or be assessed via an initial assessment task where the results will give an understanding of your current digital skills competency. Based on this data, you will be given an individual skills plan that is tailored to your specific needs and areas identified for improvement. </p>
What is the progression route?
<p>By completing this qualification, you will gain knowledge, confidence, and experience in using digital skills to obtain work or advance your existing careers. You may also progress to a level 1 BCS Essential Digital Skills Qualifications (EDSQ) </p>
